How to measure for VERTICAL BLINDS
Decide if you want to install the blinds inside the window or on the face of the wall.
Check the depth of the window. The blinds must be able to rotate freely inside the window or be installed on the face of the wall (Face Fix).
The vertical blind will be able to rotate easily if the depth of recess id deeper than 100mm.
Please check for any obstructions that might interfere with the blind e.g.. Burglar bars, window handles, etc.

Recess fit (inside the window)
Measure the width (A) from left to right, in the top of the window, where the track will fit.
Deduct 5-7mm for clearance from the end of the track.
Measure the drop  (B) of the window in the left, centre and right hand side.
Deduct 7mm of the shortest measurement for clearance.

Face fix fit (wall mounted)
Measure the width (C) of the window and add 300mm (150 each side).
Measure the drop (D) of the window and add 100mm (to avoid drilling into the lintel) and 100mm to clear the bottom of the sill.
If the blind goes to the floor, deduct 20mm of the drop for carpet floors and 10mm for tiled floors.

NB:- Always specify if blinds are recess or face fix!

How to care for your Vertical blinds
Dust can easily be vacuumed off at regular intervals by using a vacuum cleaner with a brush tip attachment.

To wash contact supplies, do NOT wash in washing machine or dry in tumble dryer

How to measure for VENETIAN, ROLLER, BAMBOO and WOODEN VENETIAN BLINDS
Decide if you want to install the blinds inside the window or on the face of the wall.

Please check for any obstructions that might interfere with the blind e.g. Burglar bars, window handles, etc.

Recess fit (inside the window)
Measure the width (A)  from left to right, at the top, in the center and at the bottom of the window
Deduct 10mm for clearance from the end of the track.
Measure the drop(B) of the window and don’t deduct for clearance from the top.

Face fix fit (wall mounted)
Measure the width (C) of the window and add 100mm (50mm each side).
Measure the drop (D) of the window and add 100mm (to avoid drilling into the lintel) and 100mm to clear the bottom of the sill.
Please note that a protruding sill may affect the movement of the venetian blind.

NB:- Always specify if blinds are recess or face fix!

Stacking of the blinds
Venetian blinds can only stack at the top of the blind.
The operating controls can be on the left or right hand side

NB:- Always specify if control is on the left or right hand side!

How to care for your Venetian blinds
Dust can easily be brushed off at regular intervals using a clean dry cloth, a feather duster or a vacuum cleaner with a brush tip attachment.
To dust, tilt the slats up and then down (but not entirely closed) to reach the entire top and bottom surfaces.
To vacuum, use the brush tip attachment, tilt slats as above.
Slats may be wiped over with warm water and a mild detergent.
